This is an overhead scanner, that enables the scanning of books, journals and other documents from above. The book should be placed on the scanner with the cover downwards. The use of the book scanner is free of charge, and it simplifies the scanning process. Optimized image results are achieved by automatically straightening skewed originals, correcting fold distortion in thick books and removing unwanted image elements. Scans are stored on a USB device provided by the user.
