Welcome to the Medical University of Graz!

The team of the University Library of the Medical University of Graz is looking forward to accompanying you on this exciting journey! To help you get off to a good start, here is a brief introduction to our services and all the important resources you will need for your studies.

Our library offers a range of study and workspaces, learning objects, a cloakroom and lockers, scanning, copying and printing facilities, and free WiFi access. There are no restrictions on the use of books, journals and electronic resources within the library.

You can use the MEDsearch online search engine to find specific literature. To access literature from home, log in with your MEDonline account and use the links provided.

We are constantly expanding our collection to provide you with the best possible support for your studies.

Two new heart models are now available to borrow from the information desk for use in the library.

The Medical University of Graz library is dedicating this exhibition to Alexander Rollett and the history of physiology in Graz. Alongside books by renowned physiologists, the exhibition features three historical pieces of equipment on loan from the Department of Physiology & Pathophysiology.

The exhibition is open until the end of December 2025, during the library's opening hours.

Advance booking is not necessary.

Seminar room E01 in front of the library is now available as a social room. Library visitors can use the microwave oven free of charge. Please note that you are responsible for keeping the microwave oven clean. The room is made available as part of a three-month pilot phase. At the end of this time, it will be decided whether the service will be continued.

Our new accessible workstation on the ground floor has a Vocatex 4 Plus screen reader with a read aloud function. This feature enables users to either read the text themselves or have it read to them. It is available at a height-adjustable workstation. Our staff will be on hand to assist you.
