Privacy Statement of the Library of the Medical University of Graz
1. General Provisions
The Medical University of Graz, which is responsible for the collection, processing and use of data, undertakes to observe all legal regulations for the protection of the data of library users, in particular the Austrian Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR).
2. How We Use Your Information
The responsible Medical University Graz collects, processes and stores your personal information (such as name, address, date of birth, etc.) stated in the User Agreement for the purpose of processing the User Agreement. The collection, processing and storage of the above-mentioned information takes place only on the basis of the applicable legal provisions or contractual agreements (Art. 6 para 1 lit b EU GDPR), the consent of the user (Art. 6 para 1 lit a EU GDPR) or to safeguard the legitimate interests of the person responsible (Art 6 para 1 lit f EU GDPR). Without this information, the services offered by the library cannot be used.
The information will be made available to the library staff in charge.
3. Storage Period
Your information will be stored for an unlimited period. In the event that you revoke your consent, the information will no longer be processed from the time of revocation.
4. Data Security
The Medical University of Graz ensures the security of the information provided by you. This concerns protection against manipulation, loss or destruction and against access by unauthorized third parties.
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data transferability, objection to data processing and revocation of consent.
